Real-Time Leak Detection in Orlando:
A Successful Test of Global Interoperability

The goal was to validate the interoperability, accuracy, and real-time responsiveness of WiserMeter's platform in a real-life scenario in the United States, using different communication infrastructures.

• Monitor water consumption remotely in a residential property managed from another country.
• Detect leaks as quickly as possible using automated algorithms.
• Prove compatibility with multiple communication technologies — public and private LoRaWAN.

Located in Orlando, Florida (USA), the residential rental property is managed by a Brazilian owner and leased to a long-term tenant.

Installation of 3 Qalcosonic W1 ¾" ultrasonic meters from AXIOMA METERING, with a dual-network communication setup:

• 1 meter connected via the public Helium LoRaWAN network.
• 2 meters connected through a private LoRaWAN network, using two on-site gateways integrated with WiserMeter's own LoRaWAN network server built on ChirpStack.
• Full integration with the WiserMeter platform: real-time data, automatic leak detection, and immediate email notifications.

At 9:32 AM, less than 10 hours later, an automated email alert was sent to the property owner. The owner promptly contacted the tenant, who identified the leak and shut off the water valve, effectively stopping the water loss.
