Common questions about LegitField
How does LegitField relate to LegitFix?
It doesn't — the two never interact. LegitFix is a fully independent fixed concentrator with its own cellular connection. It reads and reports without a phone or technician anywhere in the loop.
How does LegitField relate to LegitMov?
LegitField is what makes LegitMov work. LegitMov has no cellular connection of its own — it reads the meter's wM-Bus signal over RF, then hands the decoded data to LegitField over Bluetooth, whose phone connection is what actually gets it to LegitOS.
Why not read the meter automatically with OCR?
Every OCR implementation we tested topped out at around 98% accuracy. In a billing system, that error rate means real disputes over real charges — and catching it would require an analyst auditing every machine reading, which defeats the purpose of automating. A technician entering the value directly, backed by a photo, is the more reliable system today.
What happens without a signal?
The reading is captured and queued on the device. The moment the phone reconnects, it syncs automatically to LegitOS — no manual resend needed.
Is LegitField available on iOS?
Yes. LegitField runs natively on both Android and iOS.
Do I need to buy separate hardware?
No. LegitField runs on the technician's own phone and is included as part of the LegitOS platform.
Is the data ready for a billing dispute?
Yes. Every reading captured through LegitField carries a timestamp, a location, and the technician who recorded it, logged in LegitOS's audit trail — plus a photo whenever the capture was manual.
